I worked as a technical coordinator and operator for four distinct experiments flown on Novespace’s A310:
- Vibrational Pump (Lunar Gravity): Vertical regolith transportation mechanism lifting regolith through high-frequency vibration.
- Angle of Repose (Lunar Gravity): Rotating drum apparatus to investigate the dynamic angle of repose of EAC-1A and JSC-2A simulants to addresses the gravity-dependence in granular flows.
- Fluidized Bed (Lunar Gravity): Transparent pneumatic system using high-speed imaging and laser-sheet illumination to track bubble formation and expansion. For example, this allows accurate scaling of lunar chemical reactors.
- Magnetically Excited Granular Matter (MEGraMa) (Microgravity): Understanding dense fluid systems excited by an 8-magnet array with high-speed camera tracking and Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors for tracking and monitoring of granular dynamics.
